A 19-year-old man was critically injured early yesterday in a pickup truck crash in Kunia.
Traffic accident investigator Sgt. John Agno said police were notified of the single-vehicle crash on Kunia Road, south of Kunia Drive, at 4:08 a.m.
A man from the Schofield area was ejected from his Chevy Silverado pickup and was taken to The Queen's Medical Center in critical condition, Agno said. Speed and alcohol appear to be contributing factors, police said.
Investigators determined the driver was headed south when the truck swerved off the right shoulder of Kunia Road, struck a guardrail and flipped.
