PEARL CITY
Recycling drop-off at high school tomorrow

The Recycling Community Clean-up Project will set up its curbside pickup service at Pearl City High School tomorrow.

Area residents will be able to dispose of their bulky items between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the school parking lot on the corner of Waimano Home Road and Ho'oki'eki'e Street.

Among the items being accepted: scrap metal, auto parts, bicycles, metal appliances, lawn mowers, pipes, beams, newspaper, cardboard, beverage containers, old passenger vehicle tires, green waste, car and boat batteries, reusable household items including clothing, cellular phones, printer cartridges, and computers (one per car), cooking oil, telephone books, magazines, used eyeglasses and worn-out athletic shoes.

This is the 46th such cleanup project in four years. They are organized by Schnitzer Steel Hawaii Corp. with the help of other earth day partners that recycle.

For information or to volunteer a van or pickup to help, call Kirk Bailey at 778-9985 or Rene Mansho at 306-1876.
