Horton-Schuler program gives $25,000 to schools
Five Leeward-area elementary schools are receiving $5,000 each as part of housing developer D.R. Horton-Schuler Division's Read-to-Win program.
The schools are Mauka Lani, Ma'ili, Barbers Point, 'Ewa and Makakilo.
About 1,500 students participated in the program, earning credits that helped their schools win real dollars in the contest.
