Jan Axel Tribler and Leilani Magee, who have dominated the revival of the Hawai'i Grand Prix series, have the opportunity to officially close the deal this weekend as the series concludes at The Oahu Club.
Tribler and Magee, both seeded first, won the first three stops — at Kapalua, Kailua Racquet Club and Wailea. By appearing, they will clinch first place in the points standings and win $1,925 each. Series runners-up get $825 each. Total purse is $6,000.
Tribler also gets a singles main draw wild card into the Honolulu Futures event in November.
Matches begin Friday at 5 p.m. with men's singles. First-round women's singles matches start Saturday at 10:30 a.m., with men's singles in the afternoon. Championship matches are scheduled Sunday at 10:30 a.m. (women), noon (men's singles) and 3 p.m. (men's doubles).
Tribler beat former Hawai'i Pacific teammate Mikael Maatta in the previous three singles finals. Magee swept Polina Cambrom at Kapalua, Drajica Joksimovic at Kailua and Brooke Gannon at Wailea.
Maatta is seeded second this weekend while Rie Yukihiro is the second-seeded woman. Former KRC Night Doubles champion Michael Bruggemann and Erich Chen are the top-seeded doubles team.
