KAPOLEI-'Ilima at Leihano, a new senior living community on Oahu, has scheduled two informational seminars for seniors and their families to learn about continuing care benefits and options.

The hour-long, free informational sessions are set for:

• 10 a.m. Saturday, June 14, at the Hawaii Kai Golf Club, and

• 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, at the Honolulu Country Club

A continental breakfast will be served and can be made by calling 674-8022.

"Continuing care retirement communities or CCRCs provide a comprehensive plan for present and future needs through a variety of options including independent living, assisted living, memory support, and skilled nursing located on a single campus," said Ken Nakamura, general manager of 'Ilima at Leihano.

'Ilima at Leihano will be built in Kapolei and will consist of garden homes and apartments for seniors 62 years and older. Homes are maintenance free. Housekeeping and maintenance are provided, along with a variety of dining venues, on-site security, parking, Internet service, and access to wellness programs and recreation facilities offered at a 20,000 square-foot clubhouse.

'Ilima at Leihano is the first senior community to be developed in Hawaii by Carlsbad-California-based Kisco Senior Living. Kisco is a family-owned and operated company with more than 20 communities in California, Nevada, North Carolina, Virginia, and Florida.
