Kimo von Oelhoffen signs 1-year deal with Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles agreed to terms on a one-year deal with veteran defensive tackle Kimo von Oelhoffen, the team announced today
Von Oelhoffen, a Moloka'i High alum from Kaunakakai, played in eight games (one start) and recorded four tackles for the Eagles last season.
He has recorded 399 tackles, 26.5 sacks, three forced fumbled and seven fumble recoveries in a 15-year career with Cincinnati (1994-99), Pittsburgh (2000-05) and the New York Jets (2006). He was released by the Jets during training camp and signed by the Eagles last season.
In 2003, von Oelhoffen had 40 tackles and eight sacks with Pittsburgh Steelers. Two years later, he won a Super Bowl with the Steelers.
Von Oelhoffen began his college career at the University of Hawai'i in 1990, but transferred to Walla Walla (WA) J.C. in 1991, and then to Boise State in 1992.
