High surf advisory remains for south shores

A high surf advisory remains in effect for the south shores of all islands through 6 tonight, the National Weather Service said, as surf will continue in the 5- to 8-foot range.
The current south swell will gradually decrease through Wednesday evening as the period steadily declines. A smaller south swell will persist from Thursday through next weekend.
Elsewhere today, surf will be 2 to 4 feet along east and west shores and 2 feet or less along north shores.
