Public comment invited on marine monument
A public hearing for the Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. tomorrow at He'eia State Park Visitor Center Hall.
Consultants will be accepting comments on the monument's draft management plan and its environmental assessment.
The plan outlines ways to manage and protect the 140,000 square miles of ocean region.
Copies of the draft plan are at any state library. Digital copies can be found at www.papahanaumokuakea.gov.
