The Honolulu Fire Department today assisted three teenage hikers who were stranded on a steep hillside ridge above Hakimo Road in Nanakuli.

A Nanakuli engine company, personnel from Fire Rescue 2 and the department's helicopter responded to the 4:20 p.m. call for assistance and brought out the two girls and boy at 5:05 p.m., HFD spokesman Capt. Terry Seelig said. No injuries were reported.

The hikers are from the Nanakuli area, Seelig said.
