Hui 'Ilio, the Hawai'i Dog Group, is looking for volunteer park rangers for the new Hawai'i Kai Dog Park near the Hawai'i Kai Park and Ride.

The park officially opens at noon June 29, with a pre-opening ceremony at 9 a.m.

Hui 'Ilio's fourth annual Dog Walk is set for 7:30 a.m. Sunday, with registration at 6:30 a.m. The event will include a preview of the park.

On Sunday, the Hawaiian Humane Society will also have dog license applications on hand. A current license is required to use public dog parks.
