The Hawai'i Visitors and Convention Bureau has appointed Josette Murai convention services manager for its corporate, meetings and incentives division. Most recently, Murai served as catering sales manager for the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa.

KAHALA

Kahala, a 72-year-old aloha wear manufacturer that recently rebranded and opened its first retail store at Ala Moana Center, has appointed Krishna Chatterjee store manager, responsible for hiring and management of Kahala's retail team. Most recently, he was community relations manager for lululemon athletica Honolulu.

HAWAII MEDICAL SERVICE ASSOCIATION

Hawaii Medical Service Association has announced the promotion of Jennifer Diesman to assistant vice president of government relations. Diesman will manage the health plan's state and federal public policy efforts, including healthcare legislation, acting as a liaison at the state Capitol and regulatory agencies, working with industry groups and supporting community relations efforts.

Wendy Ludwig has joined Alexander & Baldwin Inc. as director, corporate tax. She will direct federal, foreign, state and local tax management and compliance and research programs for A&B.

She was most recently vice president, tax at Allianz of America Corp.
