Konishiki Kids benefit July 4 at water park
Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park will host a benefit for the Konishiki Kids Foundation from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on the Fourth of July.
The Konishiki Kids Foundation Ohana Day will include activities such as face painting and balloon twisting, a tattoo artist, a magician and clowns, and entertainment by Laga Savea, O'Brian Eselu, Kalapana, Robi Kahakalau, fire-knife dancers, Okinawan drummers and a DJ at the wave pool.
A fireworks show will be set off behind the Luau Lagoon at 7:30 p.m.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the foundation. Tickets are $35, and can be purchased at Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park. For more information, contact Eddie Galdones at the water park at 674-9283, ext. 104.
The Konishiki Kids Foundation is a nonprofit founded by former sumo wrestler Konishiki, also known as Saleva'a Atisanoe, to help broaden the horizons of Leeward Coast children by giving them an opportunity to see Japan.
