Kailua Sailboards & Kayaks Inc. presented a $5,000 check to the Hawaii Chapter of Wildlife Society at a ceremony recently at its shop in the Kailua Beach Center.

The money will be used to preserve the ecosystems found in Kailua Bay and the Mokulua islands that suffer degradation from human impact. The Wildlife Society will also use the money to do research and implement management practices to help endangered and threatened species.
