MILILANI
Paving will close lanes near H-2 interchange
There will be various 24-hour lane closures near H-2 Freeway's Mililani interchange through Monday, for pavement resurfacing, the state Department of Transportation said.
The 24-hour lane closures will occur from 8 a.m. today through 4 a.m. Monday at the following locations:
The H-2 on-ramp in the south-bound direction from Mehe'ula Parkway (from Mililani Town) will be closed. Honolulu-bound motorists are advised to use alternate routes such as Kamehameha Highway or proceed along Mehe'ula Parkway, make a U-turn at the 'Ainamakua Drive intersection and use the H-2 Honolulu-bound loop on-ramp from the makai-bound lanes.
The right lane of the north-bound H-2 Mililani Mauka off-ramp (Exit 5A) will be closed.
Mililani Mauka-bound lanes on Mehe'ula Parkway will be closed between Lanikuhana Avenue and H-2. Mauka-bound traffic will be contraflowed using one makai-bound lane.
The work is part of a $16.2 million pavement reconstruction project that includes the H-2's Waipi'o interchange, Mililani interchange and Kipapa Stream Bridge.
