Amy Gilliom to give March 15 concert on Maui

Amy Hanaiali'i Gilliom, an award-winning Island performer praised for her female ha'i (falsetto) singing, will perform at 7:30 p.m. March 15 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center's Castle Theatre as part of the Ho'onanea Series.

Gilliom is a multiple Na Hoku Hanohano Award winner and a Grammy Hawaiian Music nominee. While she favors her Hawaiian music, she is versed and passionate about jazz and R&B and has opened for a gamut of pop music performers, including Carlos Santos, Willie Nelson, Joe Cocker, Wayne Newton and Arlo Guthrie.

Pre-show festivities begin at 5:30 p.m., with music, arts and crafts and food and beverage.
