Fans of homegrown music are in for an earful or two tonight as two veteran bands celebrate at separate parties. Choose one or both: They're in the same general neighborhood.

GO JIMMY GO

The ska/fusion favorite will be off on a two-week tour of Europe later this month, but not before a big send-off party from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. at thirtyninehotel. This is the band's second European tour in a row: Last summer the guys accompanied The Toasters on a six-week journey.

Guest performers: DJ Barr, spinning ska and reggae; and The Spacifics, hip-hop (Go Jimmy Go's Ryan Kunimura and Eric White also are members of The Spacifics).

Admission: $10; for those 21 and older. 599-2552.

PIMPBOT

The ska/punk band is celebrating its 1) second CD, called "Admit One"; 2) seventh anniversary; and 3) tour of Canada and Seattle, also later this month. The party is at 10 p.m. at Don Ho's Island Grill, Aloha Tower Marketplace.

Guest performers: Missing Dave, 82Fifty, Breaking the Innocent; hosted by Kathy with a K. There's a fashion show, too.

Admission: $7; for those 21 and older. Preview listen: www.myspace.com/pimpbot.
