Alabama-Birmingham rolls through Hawaii-Hilo, 11-3

Cody McMurry had three hits and three RBIs, and seven pitchers teamed on a six-hitter as Alabama-Birmingham beat Hawai'i-Hilo, 11-3, yesterday in a non-conference baseball game at Wong Stadium.
Ryan Keedy added two hits and two RBIs, and Brint Hardy contributed two hits, including a solo homer, for the Blazers (6-7).
A.J. Satele had two hits and two RBIs, and Ronel Trias had two hits and scored two runs for the Vulcans (5-6).
The Blazers took the lead for good at 4-1 with a three-run fourth inning that was aided by two errors and highlighted by McMurry's two-run single.

UH FINISHES 14TH
The University of Hawai'i men's golf team finished 14th yesterday in the 15-team Southern Highlands Collegiate at Las Vegas.
The Warriors shot 317 for a three-round total of 78-over 954. Host UNLV won with 5-over 869.
Ryan Perez led UH with 76—223. USC's Rory Hie shot a 1-over 73 yesterday to win with 3-under 213.
