Jim Jarrett, star of the international touring one-man show "Vincent" at the Ulua Theatre on the Big Island, will also offer a two-day master actor's class in the Meisner technique.
The workshop will be 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 5-6 at the Ulua Theatre. It will provide a rare opportunity to explore Sanford Meisner's acting style; he was one of the earliest actors of the Group Theatre, along with Lee Strasberg, Stella Adler, and Harold Clurman, among others. This theater company brought the Stanislavski "Method Acting" into prominence in America.
Space is limited; contact the Ulua Theatre before April 1 for reservation.
"Vincent," a one-man play by Leonard Nimoy, will run for three nights, at 7:30 p.m. April 3, 4 and 5 as a benefit for Ulua Theatre, which is housed at actor Jason Scott Lee's home in Volcano, on the Big Island.
