By popular demand, "Rap's Hawaii," the Honolulu Theatre for Youth's stage mounting of the comedic sketches of the late Rap Reiplinger, will be extended for one more performance at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Tenney Theatre, Saint Andrew's Cathedral.
The remaining scheduled shows, at 7:30 p.m. Friday and 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, are sold out.; hence, the extension.
The production, an adaptation by Lee Cataluna of Reiplinger's original material, features an ensemble comprised of Charles Timtim, Pomai Lopez and Kimo Kaona enacting the many characters created by Reiplinger, from such classic routines as "Room Service," "Auntie Marialani's Cooking Show," "Fate Yanagi" and "Singing Telegram."
Tickets for the additional show remain the same — $8 to $16 — and are available by phone at 839-9885 on online at http://www.htyweb.org.
