Students, teachers, police officers and others will hold signs outside Ka'ahumanu Elementary School on Friday to urge drivers to slow down and watch for children.

The sign-waving will be on Pi'ikoi and Kina'u streets from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m.

The event is organized by AIG Hawai'i, which has held similar sign-wavings at other schools.
