NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Nashville Predators center David Legwand pleaded guilty to reckless driving and received a six-month suspended sentence.

Legwand was arrested in February and charged with driving under the influence and violating the state's implied consent law for refusing a blood-alcohol test.

Attorney Roger May said today that Legwand was also given six months probation and a $350 fine.

His driver's license will be restricted for a year for not taking the breath test, meaning he can only drive to and from work.

He was pulled over near downtown Nashville on Feb. 15 after a police officer clocked him driving 51 mph in a 35-mph zone.

Legwand, who recently signed a six-year $27 million contract, has been sidelined since he injured a foot March 7 at Calgary.
