CONCERT: MARCH 21-22
Multiplatinum-selling alt-rock band Incubus, whose discography runs from 1995's "Fungus Amongus" to 2006's "Light Grenades," comes to Islands for a pair of concerts — one in Honolulu, another on Maui — after touring Australia and Asia. Tickets have gone fast: Only lawn seats are available for the Shell concert. Silversun Pickups opens the show.

EXHIBIT: MARCH 24-28
Colorful flower arrangements from seven schools will fill the Honolulu Hale courtyard in the exhibit "Splendors of Ikebana." Ikebana is a centuries-old tradition in Japan; in Hawai'i, tropical flowers and other indigenous plants have been incorporated in the art, creating a uniquely Island blend. There are demonstrations, too, at 10 a.m. March 25-26.

CONCERT: MARCH 28
Rap star 50 Cent — of "Get Rich or Die Tryin,'" "The Massacre" and "Curtis" fame — headlines a concert that also features the group G Unit (co-founded by 50 and now signed to his label) and Isle R&B singer Afatia, right. This will be 50's second gig in Honolulu — he made his Isle debut in 2003. G Unit's posse of rappers includes Young Buck, Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo and DJ Whoo Kid. Afatia was the R&B artist of the year at the 2007 Na Hoku Hanohano Awards.

In David Henry Hwang's rewrite of the Rodgers and Hammerstein golden oldie "Flower Drum Song," the characters and songs are the same, but the plot has been updated. It's the story of Mei-Li (Autumn Ogawa, above), who has escaped from Communist China to San Francisco, where she falls for Ta, son of the owner of a Chinese-opera theater. Songs include "A Hundred Million Miracles" and "I Enjoy Being a Girl." Greg Zane directs.

Here's one for the guys: More than 200 exhibitors will offer the latest in electronics, gadgets, health and fitness, and sporting goods at the Hawaii Big Boy's Show. Other attractions include a poker tourney, beer garden, video-game competitions, entertainment and yes, a Hooters bikini contest.

Aloha shirts, jewelry, 'ukulele, toys, furniture, glassware, kitchenware, surf items and more will be found at the Wiki Wiki One Day Vintage Collectibles & Hawaiiana Show. And when they say vintage, they mean the stuff has to be at least 20 years old. If you're really eager to check out the collectibles, $15 will get you in at 9 a.m.

FESTIVAL: APRIL 5
Hands-on educational activities will fill the fourth annual Mad About Science Festival at the Bishop Museum's Great Lawn and surrounding areas. Archaeology, marine biology and astronomy are among the fields to be explored; and there are behind-the-scenes tours of the museum's collections. While you're there, you can take in all of the museum's exhibits, including the current "Animal Grossology."

Pop/punk band Plain White T's, whose "Hey There Delilah" ballad was a big hit a few years ago (how easily we forget: check it out at www.myspace.com/plainwhitets) is coming back to rock Pipeline. The guys from Chicago were last here in June, part of the Band Camp V lineup at the Waikiki Shell.
