Passenger stiffs cab driver, jumps in Moanalua 'river'
Advertiser Staff
Police last night were looking for a man who allegedly refused to pay his cab fare and then jumped into a "river" in the Mapunapuna area.
The cab driver told police he stopped in the west-bound lanes of Moanalua Freeway about 4:20 a.m. after his passenger refused to pay the fare.
The driver told police the man jumped into the "river," apparently a reference to Moanalua Stream.
The man was last seen in the area of the Big Boy Restaurant sprinting makai in the stream water, clad only in his underwear.
