Plenty of sun, a few showers expected this weekend

The trade winds are back in force and should continue to blow across the islands through next week, the National Weather Service said.
With the return of the trades, showers will fall primarily over the windward areas, but some will spread leeward at times on the smaller islands, forecasters said.
The trade-wind showers will be most active and most likely to spread into the leeward areas during nights and mornings.
On the leeward side of the Big Island, clouds and showers are expected during the afternoons and evenings.
