Grand Parade forces bus detours today

The 14th Annual Honolulu Festival Grand Parade will commence at 4:30 p.m. today and force some bus detours. Riders are asked to adjust their pickup areas to city bus stops listed below.
The parade starts at Kalakaua/Saratoga, continue east on Kalakaua, left on Monsarrat, terminating in the Waikiki Shell parking lot.
Preparation for the festival and the parade will affect traffic and our operations as follows:
DETOUR DURING PARADE
FROM 3:45 p.m. to approximately 7:30 p.m.
Route B, CityExpress!
Eastbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to Kalakaua/Ena bus stop.
TheBus will then DETOUR by merging into left lane to turn left Kuhio, left on Kapahulu, right on Leahi to temporary terminus at Leahi/Lakimau ( Paki Park ).
Westbound: The Bus will travel from temporary terminus at Leahi/Lakimau (Paki Park), continue DETOUR via Koko Head on Leahi, right on Monsarrat, right on Paki, left on Kapahulu, right on Kuhio, and then resume the regular route.

Route 19, Waikiki-Airport-Hickam

Route 42, 'Ewa Beach-Waikiki
Eastbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to Ala Moana Boulevard/Hobron (Ilikai bus stop). TheBus will then DETOUR by moving into next left lane to go mauka on Ala Moana, right on Kalakaua, left on Kuhio to temporary bus stop at Kuhio/Kapahulu. TheBus will continue to DETOUR left on Kapahulu, right on Leahi to temporary terminus at Leahi/Lakimau ( Paki Park ).
Westbound: The Bus will travel from temporary terminus at Leahi/Lakimau (Paki Park), Koko Head on Leahi, right on Monsarrat, right on Paki, left on Kapahulu, right on Kuhio, and then resume the regular route UNTIL KUHIO/LAUNIU. TheBus will then DETOUR by continuing ewa on Kuhio, right on Kalakaua, right on Pau, left on Ala Wai, left on Niu, onto Ala Moana Blvd, and then resume the regular route after passing Ena Road.
Route 2, Waikiki-School-Middle
Eastbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to temporary bus stop at Kuhio/Kapahulu. TheBus will then DETOUR left on Kapahulu, right on Leahi, right on Noela, left on Paki, right on Kalakaua ('ewa-bound), left at the Dillingham Fountain, left on Kalakaua (Koko Head-bound), and then resume the regular route to Paki/Poni Moi terminus.
Westbound: No detour.
Route 4, Nu'uanu-Punahou
Eastbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to temporary bus stop at Kuhio/Kapahulu.
TheBus will then DETOUR left on Kapahulu, right on Leahi to temporary terminus at Leahi/Lakimau ( Paki Park).
Westbound: The Bus will travel from temporary terminus at Leahi/Lakimau ( Paki Park), proceed Koko Head on Leahi, right on Monsarrat, right on Paki, and then resume the regular route.
Route 8, Waikiki-Ala Moana
Eastbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to bus stop at Kalia Rd/Hale Koa Hotel. Continue Koko Head on Kalia to the U.S. Army Museum driveway. TheBus will then DETOUR right on to loop counter-clockwise around the driveway, left on Kalia, (See Note 2 above), right on Ala Moana, right on Kalakaua, left on Kuhio, and then resume the regular route to temporary bus stop at Kuhio/Kapahulu. TheBus will then DETOUR left on Kapahulu, right on Leahi, to temporary terminus at Leahi/Lakimau ( Paki Park ).
Westbound: The Bus will travel from temporary terminus at Leahi/Lakimau ( Paki Park), Koko Head on Leahi, right on Monsarrat, right on Paki, and then resume the regular route UNTIL KUHIO/LAUNIU. From this point, TheBus will DETOUR by continuing ewa on Kuhio, right on Kalakaua, right on Pau, left on Ala Wai, left on Niu, onto Ala Moana, and then resume the regular route after passing Ena Road.
Route 14, St. Louis-Kahala-Maunalani
Eastbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to Kapahulu/Leahi. TheBus will then DETOUR right on Lemon, right on Paoakalani, right on Kuhio, left on Kapahulu, right on Leahi, right on Noela, left on Paki, right on Kalakaua (ewa-bound) turn left on at Dillingham Fountain, left on Kalakaua (Koko Head-bound), and then resume the regular route.
Westbound: No detour.
Route 22, Beach Bus
Eastbound: The Bus will travel from temporary terminus at Leahi/Lakimau ( Paki Park ), continue Koko Head on Leahi, left on Monsarrat, and then resume the regular route.
Westbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to temporary eastbound bus stop at Kuhio/Kapahulu. TheBus will then DETOUR left on Kapahulu, right on Leahi to temporary terminus at Leahi/Lakimau ( Paki Park ).
Route 23, Hawaii Kai-Sea Life Park
Eastbound: To Hawaii Kai/Sea Life Park – TheBus will travel the regular route to Ala Moana Blvd/Hobron (Ilikai bus stop). TheBus will then DETOUR by moving into next left lane to go mauka on Ala Moana, right on Kalakaua, left on Kuhio to temporary bus stop at Kuhio/Kapahulu. TheBus will DETOUR left on Kapahulu, right on Leahi to temporary terminus at Leahi/Lakimau ( Paki Park ).
Westbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to Kuhio/Launiu.
TheBus will DETOUR by continuing ewa along Kuhio, right on Kalakaua, right on Pau, left on Ala Wai, left on Niu, onto Ala Moana, and then resume the regular route after passing Ena Road.

A.M. Operation: No detour
P.M. Operation: TheBus will travel the regular route to bus stop at Kalia/Hale Koa Hotel. Continue Koko Head on Kalia to the U.S. Army Museum driveway.
