Police are investigating an injury to a 14-month-old boy while the state has taken custody of another child from the same home.

No one has been arrested in the second-degree assault investigation, police said.

The investigation stems from a Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children call to police on Tuesday reporting suspicious injuries to the toddler, who was being treated for a broken left elbow, police said.
