First Hawaiian Bank today launched FHB Direct, a service that allows customers to open a free checking account online without going into a branch.

Customers also may sign up for FHB Online, a free service that allows customers to manage their banking accounts online.

"FHB Direct and FHB Online are part of First Hawaiian's commitment to provide the most advanced online banking solutions for our customers," said Don Horner, president and chief executive officer of First Hawaiian Bank.
