Liquor Commission fines nightclub for fondling incident

The Honolulu Liquor Commission last week fined the New Seven Kings nightclub for a fondling incident, and several other O'ahu businesses for selling liquor to minors.

New Seven Kings was fined $1,000 for the fondling incident and $300 for violation of employee consumption of liquor while on duty, according to the commission.

At the March 13 meeting, the commission took these actions:

  • Club Business, whose owners pleaded no contest, was fined $1,000 for failing to comply with a commission order to produce records. In addition, the commission ordered the licensee to reconstruct the records going back one more year to 2005 and to provide those to the commission within three months.

  • Coyote Nights was found guilty and fined $500 for allowing liquor to be consumed on the premises in an area outside of the entrance that is not permitted. The business also will be monitored for three months by commission investigators.

  • Hatsuhana Restaurant, whose owners pleaded no contest, was fined $1,000 for selling liquor to a minor.

  • Masa's Market & Drive In, Hale'iwa Chevron and Keo Enterprises Inc., whose owners all pleaded no contest, each were fined $750 for selling liquor to a minor.

  • The Garlic Restaurant Ninnikuya was found guilty and fined $500 for selling liquor to a minor.

  • Moana Surfrider Hotel, whose owners pleaded no contest, did not receive a fine for violation of selling liquor to a minor. However, the licensee was ordered to make a server training program available to other licensees if they request.
