Kameron Steinhoff of Punahou has been named the 2007-08 Gatorade Hawai'i Boys Basketball Player of the Year.

The award recognizes outstanding athletic excellence, high standards of academic achievement and exemplary character demonstrated on and off the court.

Steinhoff is now a finalist for the Gatorade National Boys Basketball Player of the Year award to be announced later this month.
