"A Walk in the Sea," the story of a filmmaker's search to learn what happened to a missing uncle, will be shown at 7 p.m. Friday at the Doris Duke Theater at the Honolulu Academy of Arts.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. for a pre-screening reception. Tickets are $15 for non museum members and $14 for museum members.
The film by Esther Robinson is a quest to discover what happened to her uncle Danny Williams, who walked out of a family dinner in Massachusetts in 1966 and was never seen again.
Thirty years later, a box of 16 mm film was found in Andy Warhol's collection that offered clues to Danny's life as Warhol's lover, along with the discovery of 20 never-before-seen short films Williams made during his time with Warhol.
