Victoria's Secret, the lingerie seller who elevated sales of woman's undergarments with high-profile models and televised fashion shows, will open its first store in the state in the fall of 2009, Ala Moana Center announced.

The Columbus, Ohio company plans to open one of its flagship stores here, selling its well-known line of bras and panties, along with its Victoria's Secret Beauty line of cosmetics, skin care, and fragrances. It will also sell loungewear and sleepwear.

The store will be located in a 20,000 square-foot space on the Mall Level of Ala Moana. The store will be about four times larger than the typical Victoria's Secret stores, which average about 5,100 square feet in size, according to the company's Web site.

"They've been on our wish list for nearly a decade," said Sharon James, regional vice president of marketing for Ala Moana owner General Growth Properties.
