Preps: Lahainaluna scores 29 goals in water polo win
KIHEI, Maui — Moana Tuipulotu and Michelle Fuller each scored five goals as the Lahainaluna High School water polo team defeated King Kekaulike, 29-5, in the semifinals of the Maui Interscholastic League tournament last night.

The Lunas will face Kamehameha-Maui in the championship game tonight. The Warriors defeated Baldwin, 13-5, last night at the Kihei Aquatic Center to clinch their first state tournament berth.
Mariah Gill and Taylor Pante each scored three goals for the Lunas, which also clinched a state berth. Alana Hendrickson, Kayla Wall, Natalie Austin and Kristen Fuller each added two goals in the win and Harmony Bash, Jenae Kruk and Kelly Kohls had a goal apiece. Tiare Shortell and Hailey Mulvihill scored twice for Na Ali'i and Desi Deluz had one goal.
Lahainaluna led 8-1 after the first period and 15-2 at halftime. Lahainaluna outscored King Kekaulike 6-0 in the third period and 8-3 in the fourth.
