The Aloha Chapter of Meeting Professionals International will hold its inaugural Awards Gala on May 20th at the Royal Hawaiian Waikiki's Monarch Ballroom from 6 to 10 p.m.

This event will commemorate the milestones and achievements of the Aloha chapter of the leading professional association for the global meetings industry, its members and the organization's growth over the last ten years.

The theme of this year's event is "E hana pu¯ kakou me ke aloha a me ka lo¯kahi", or working together with aloha & harmony.

"We felt that our 10th anniversary was an appropriate and timely opportunity to recognize the organization's success over the years," said Edie Hafdahl, MPI Aloha Chapter President.

Among the evening's festivities will be an awards presentation that recognizes a supplier, planner, and rising star of the year. There will also be a silent auction with proceeds going toward scholarship programs, enhancement of member educational programs, community outreach, and various other projects.
