Robinson pitches two-hitter as UH sweeps Utah St. in softball

Kate Robinson pitched no-hit ball until allowing two singles in the seventh inning to lead Hawai'i to a 3-0 victory over Utah State today in the second game of a Western Athletic Conference doubleheader sweep at Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium.
Hawai'i (35-17 and 9-7 WAC) won the first game, 5-2. Utah State is 14-31 and 2-14.
Robinson (15-6) struck out 10 and walked three.
Brandi Peiler and Katie Grimes each had two hits for the Rainbow Wahine.
In the top of the seventh, Amy Schaible singled to center field to break up Robinson's no-hitter. After Shasta Tyteca struck out, Michelle Workman walked and Tara Evans singled to left to fill the bases. But Robinson struck out Kelly Yates and Megan McDonald to end the game.
