Prosecutors charged a 28-year-old man who allegedly elbowed a police officer three times and also kneed him in the face while being arrested early Thursday morning in Waikiki.

Brayden Kamaka Wade-Kalahiki, who has 26 prior criminal convictions, was charged with first-degree assault on a law-enforcement officer, second-degree assault and three counts of harassment.

Wade-Kalahiki's bail is $25,000 pending an initial appearance tomorrow at District Court.

Police arrested the 6-foot, 200-pound suspect for investigation of second-degree assault for allegedly punching another man, 19, in the jaw and causing him to lose a tooth.
