Visiting Jewish scholar to discuss Israel

Temple Emanu-El hosts visiting scholar Rabbi David J. Forman for a presentation on "IThree Major Concerns of the Jewish State," a free public lecture, at 7:30 p.m. May 15.

It's among several appearances for Forman, former director of the Israel office in Jerusalem of the Union for Reform Judaism and author of four book, among them:.

-- 7 a.m. May 14; Interfaith Open Table, First Unitarian Church of Honolulu.

-- Noon, May 14: University of Hawai'i, History Department Library, Rm A201, Sakamaki Hall, "Jerusalem – Holy City of Three Religions."

-- 11:30 a.m. May 15: "Life in Israel – A Thirty-Five Year Retrospective," Temple Emanu-El.
