Maui median home price falls to $566K in April

Both the median price for a single-family home on Maui and the number of homes sold fell in April compared with the same month a year earlier.
The median price fell to $566,000, a 16 percent decline from $671,000 in April 2007, according to a report from the Realtors Association of Maui. The number of homes sold fell to 73, a 24 percent decline from 96 last April.
The median price for a condominium rose to $600,000, a 23 percent increase from $487,500 a year earlier. The number of condominiums sold fell to 92, a 21 percent drop from 116 in April 2007.
