Marine training set for Monday, Tuesday at Bellows
MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII - Members of the 15th Marine Expeditionary
Unit, based out of Camp Pendleton, California, will conduct exercises at the
Bellows Beach military training area from May 12 through 14.
"The purpose of the training is maintain our ability to perform the myriad
of tasks and missions the MEU can be assigned as the world's 911 force in
readiness," said Maj. Thomas Citrano, assistant operations officer.
Residents in the area may notice an increased noise level resulting from
helicopters being used during the hours of 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on May 13. The
training will not include an amphibious landing.
