Kahala man suspect in motorcycle theft

Police last night arrested a 37-year-old man at his Hunakai Street residence in Kahala on suspicion of trying to sell a stolen motorcycle at a discounted price.
The red BMW R1100RS was reported stolen Monday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Hobron Lane. The owner passed out leaflets last week with a photo of the stolen motorcycle, offering a reward for its return.
Police arrested the suspect at 9:40 p.m. for second-degree theft. The man remains in custody and uncharged.
His Hawai'i criminal record shows one conviction.
