LIHU'E – In recognition of National Police Week, the Kaua'i Police Department is having an open house at police headquarters located at 3990 Ka'ana St. in Lihu'e.

The event is scheduled tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

During the open house, hourly tours of the facility will be given, along with tours of the Incident Command Vehicle and the Emergency Operations Center.

The public will also have an opportunity to check out equipment used by KPD's SWAT unit and displays by the traffic and vice units. Information regarding the DARE and GREAT programs will also be available.
