Volunteers, students and teachers will plant 30 trees at Palolo Valley District Park today.

The trees were donated by Home Depot.

Some 50 students, 25 volunteers and Mayor Mufi Hannemann will participate in the event.

A dedication ceremony kicks off at 9 a.m., and the planting runs to 11:45 a.m.

The event is part of the Arbor Day Foundation's Trees for Success planting program.
