Walua road repairs start Monday
Advertiser Staff
The new schedule to resurface Walua Road on the Big Island begins Monday and is expected to be completed by Thursday.
Both sides of the road between Kamehameha III and the end of the jogging path on Walua Road will be repaired.
Walua residents are asked to limit travel to their homes between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. for the two days that roadwork occurs. The paving machinery is wide and it will take up most of the road, making it difficult for motorists to travel.
Residents on Walua are requested to remove their cars the day before roadwork and to not park along both shoulders of the road until it is completed.
