Advertiser Staff

Customers in Kahului and Paia may experience low water pressure while Maui Department of Water Supply personnel test the water system in preparation for an upcoming tie-in project.

The test project is scheduled from 9 a.m. Tuesday to 9 a.m. Wednesday.

All customers in the Central Maui water system are urged to conserve water by turning off irrigation systems and other non-essential uses of water during that time to will allow the Department to preserve water levels in the storage tanks for health and safety purposes.

The areas affected include Paia, Kuau, Spreckelsville, Kahului, Wailuku, Waiehu, Waihee, Waikapu, Maalaea, Puunene, Kihei, Wailea and Makena.

Call the 24-hour service line, 270-7633, only if a water problem occurs.
