SANDY BEACH CLEANUP: Sierra Club service project, 8:30-10:30 a.m. today, starting at the east side of Sandy Beach Park. Bring water, hat, sunscreen and closed shoes. Bags, gloves provided. SEA LEVEL RISE TALK: Chip Fletcher, chairman of the University of Hawai'i Department of Geology and Geophysics, will speak at 11 a.m. Friday on "The Science of Sea-Level Rise and a Review of the Status of Kailua Beach." KAWAI NUI GARDENING: Na Pohaku o Hauwahine service project with Sierra Club and Ahahui Malama i ka Lokahi. Meet at 8:30 a.m. Saturday on the makai side of Kapa'a Quarry Road about one mile from the intersection of Kapa'a Quarry Road and Kalaniana'ole Highway.
