Oahu road projects this week

The State Department of Transportation has announced the following road projects that will affect traffic this week. All projects are weather-permitting.
H-1 AIRPORT VIADUCT EASTBOUND THREE-LANE CLOSURE (Night Work)
Three-lane closures on the H-1 Freeway Airport Viaduct in the Honolulu-bound direction from west of the Airport on-ramp to the Middle Street Tunnel on Monday night through Wednesday morning from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m., nightly, for concrete pavement repair work.
All on-and-off-ramps will remain open during this time. Single lane closures may also be implemented on Nimitz Highway below the viaduct during these hours as a safety precaution.
H-1 RAMP CLOSURES AT PAIWA INTERCHANGE (Night Work)
Multiple nighttime closures on the H-1 Freeway from 9:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., nightly, for lane striping work at the following dates and locations:
H-1 WESTBOUND NEAR PEARL HARBOR (Night Work)
Multiple lane closures on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction from the Pearl Harbor/Hickam AFB off-ramp (Exit 15B) to the H-3 East/Kaneohe off-ramp (Exit 13B) on Wednesday night through Friday morning from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for repairs to overhead signage.
H-2 FREEWAY
HONOLULU-BOUND MEHEULA PARKWAY ON-RAMP CLOSURE
H-2 Freeway Honolulu-bound on-ramp from Mililani Town on Meheula Parkway will be closed on Wednesday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for pavement resurfacing.
Honolulu-bound motorists are advised to use alternate routes such as Kamehameha Highway or to proceed along Meheula Parkway, U-turn at the Ainamakua Drive intersection and use the H-2 Freeway Honolulu-bound loop on-ramp from the Makai-bound lanes.
During these hours, the Meheula Parkway sidewalk on the Mauka-bound side will also be closed from Kuahelani Avenue to the bus stop at 1618 Meheula Parkway. Mauka-bound pedestrians are advised to cross Meheula Parkway at the Kuahelani Avenue intersection and use the opposite sidewalk.
FARRINGTON HIGHWAY
MAKAHA
Single lane closures on Farrington Highway in both direction from Orange Street to Kili Drive through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for pavement resurfacing.
KAHEKILI HIGHWAY
KANEOHE
Left lane closures between Kulukeoe Street and Haiku Road in both directions on Monday through Frida from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for the removal of existing drainage systems and water line adjustments.
KALANIANAOLE HIGHWAY
NEAR CASTLE JUNCTION
Right-lane closure in the Kailua-bound direction between Castle Junction and Kapaa Quarry Road through Friday from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., daily, for erosion control work.
Work and lane closures are scheduled at this site on weekdays through May 2008. Project contractor Prometheus Construction will be anchoring mesh safety netting to the adjacent hillside to stabilize the slope.
KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY
NEAR PEARL HARBOR
Single lane closures on Kamehameha Highway in both directions from Salt Lake Boulevard to Center Drive through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., daily, for lane striping and lane marker installations.
2) MILILANI TO WHEELER AAF
Northbound traffic on Kamehameha Highway will be contraflowed using the southbound lanes between Waikalani Drive and Lehua Road through Friday from to 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily. Single lane closures are also scheduled at the following locations:
Portable concrete barriers will be closing these lane segments for shoulder widening and curb construction.
LIKELIKE HIGHWAY
UPPER KALIHI AREA
Right lane closures on Likelike Highway in the Honolulu-bound direction from the Wilson Tunnel to Valley View Drive through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for guardrail repairs and tree trimming.
NIMITZ HIGHWAY
ROVING POTHOLE REPAIRS
Roving lane closures on Nimitz Highway in both directions through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for pothole repairs.
ALA MOANA BOULEVARD
ALA MOANA TO WAIKIKI
Single lane closures on Ala Moana Boulevard in both directions between Kalakaua Avenue and Kalia Road through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for the installation of electrical duct lights and the construction of new concrete driveways, sidewalks, curbs and gutters.
This improvements project will include the reconstruction and resurfacing of pavement areas, the addition of a fourth eastbound lane from Hobron Lane to Kalia Road, the lengthening of left-turn stacking lanes onto Hobron Lane and Kalia Road, center median landscaping enhancements designed in consultation with the Outdoor Circle, replacement of highway lighting with decorative lighting similar to Kalakaua Avenue, and the reconstruction of portions of pedestrian sidewalks and driveways.
These road improvements will be paid for by the Hilton Hotels Corporation as part of a larger development surrounding the construction of The Grand Waikikian Tower, adjacent to the Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa. Hilton has also established a construction information hotline at 948-7600 and an informational website at www.villagerejuvenation.com. Project completion is anticipated in December 2008.

Right lane closure on Fort Barrette Road in the southbound direction between Kamaaha Avenue and Roosevelt Avenue through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for guardrail repairs.
FORT WEAVER ROAD

Single lane closures on Fort Weaver Road in both directions through Friday at the following locations and times:
In addition, traffic on Old Fort Weaver Road will be contraflowed in a single lane near the Fort Weaver Road intersection through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., daily, for waterline installation work.

Various lane closures on Puuloa Road between Kamehameha Highway and Salt Lake Boulevard through Frida from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, at the following locations:

Left lane closures on Paiwa Street in both directions between Hiapo Street and Lumiaina Street on Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for lane striping.

INTERISLAND TERMINAL PARKING STRUCTURE
Lane closures at the Honolulu International Airport for the construction of a vehicular and pedestrian bridge connecting the new 1,800-stall parking structure to the existing Interisland Terminal Parking Structure at the following locations and times:
