Stop Rail Now opens office on South Street
The group Stop Rail Now opened its anti-rail campaign headquarters yesterday at 627 South St. and vowed to get an anti-rail initiative onto the November general election ballots.
The group already has more than 10,000 signatures from registered voters on O'ahu and needs a total of 40,000 signatures by Aug. 1 to qualify for the November election.
Stop Rail Now leaders said they picked their new location between Halekauwila and Queen streets because it is centrally located.
