Saturday is the deadline for the early entry fee into the first annual "Golf for the Well of Hope" tournament at Waikele Golf Course to be held June 18.

The fee through Saturday is $140 for individual golfers and $420 for a three-person team. The fees will go up to $150 and $450, beginning Sunday.

Fees include lunch, beverages, green fees and cart, awards banquet, gift bags and door prizes.

Banquet-only tickets cost $40. Sponsorship opportunities are available at the $1,200, $750 and $250 levels.

The Well of Hope Foundation was formed in December 2006 by five Hawai'i Rotarians who learned of an African village's water crisis during their visit to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The children there must make a daily, three-hour roundtrip to a dirty river to take water back to their village.
