It's the silver anniversary for the Universal ShowQueen Pageant, dubbed "The Ultimate in Boy Beautiful," set for 7 p.m. June 21 at the Hawai'i Convention Center.

The event assembles men dressed as women in couture cocktail garb, evening gown, a talent contest and a Las Vegas showgirl costume, with contestants from the Islands, the Mainland, Mexico and Asia. More than $10,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded and a sellout crowd of 1,500 is anticipated.

Doors open at 6 p.m.

Tickets are $40, $50 and $60 (the top tier already is sold out), on sale at Diamond Head Video, 1745 Kalakaua Ave.
