Two boys arrested on suspicion of starting a wildland fire in Honolulu have been released pending further investigation, police said today.

The boys, 11 and 12, were arrested Friday afternoon after witnesses detained them near the area of the fire.

One of the boys, who tried to run away from the area, had burns on his face, police said.
