The Portland Trail Blazers signed injured forward Martell Webster to a four-year contract extension before Friday's game against San Antonio.
Webster, 21, a 6-foot-7, 210-pound third-year player who started at small forward last season, is recovering from foot surgery.
He is expected to be back by December.
Webster averaged 7.0 points per game last season but missed the ending of the season with an irregular heart beat.
